Master Buck's Dog Trainer — the apex of the Buck's certification system. 30-day in-person residential. Prerequisites: General L2 issued ≥36 months prior, 10,000+ cumulative training hours, 500+ documented client cases, 12-month formal mentorship under an active MBDT (or Buck/Nicole) with weekly sign-off, published case study or research-grade write-up, and recommendation from two existing MBDTs. The curriculum is fresh PhD-level content not derived from the legacy 40-day curriculum: research literacy with journal critique, business mastery, curriculum design authority, public speaking, legal & liability deep-dive (bite litigation, dangerous dog law, ADA service dog law, FHA, ACAA, expert witness fundamentals), advanced behavior pharmacology integration, dog sport governance, behavioral genetics, multi-discipline integration. Graduates earn multi-location franchise eligibility (Nicole still gates), authority to grade L2 candidates, authority to teach L1 in-person bootcamps as lead, and a voting seat on the certification board.
30 days · in person at HQ · 80% to pass · valid 12 months

This is an advanced credential. Admission requires:
This is the actual syllabus for MBDT — 70 topics across 30 days, 166h 30m of scheduled instruction. Not a sample, not a summary.
The MBDT stops citing slogans and starts citing studies. How to dismantle a behavior-science paper and decide whether it should change a single protocol you run.
Master your craft and lead a region — you don’t just run a location, you develop the trainers around you.
Your certification level sets the maximum number of dogs your kennel may hold at once — 5 at L1, 10 at L2, 20 at L3. You tell us how many you actually want to run within that ceiling. The number is a capacity limit set by your level, not a guarantee that a set number of dogs will be provided or booked.
Two stages: an online theory gate (three written finals) that earns your cohort invitation, then the in-person four-modality exam you sit at HQ — you pass all four to certify.
Stage 1 · before your cohort
Once you're invited, you complete a self-paced online course and pass three written finals. Passing all three is the prerequisite that unlocks your cohort — it proves you're theory-ready. It is not a substitute for the in-person exam.
Pass all three → you earn your cohort invitation.
Stage 2 · at your 30-day cohort
The certification itself is earned entirely in person. All four modalities — including the written — are sat at HQ. You pass all four to certify, and annual renewal runs the same battery.
Pass all four → you're certified.
Valid 12 months from issuance with a 30-day grace period. Renewal is the same four-modality battery — there is no lighter annual recert.
Admissions run like a real hire: resume, questionnaire, personality assessment, background check, and an interview before acceptance.
